Strongsville Schools Win Budget Award For 3rd Straight Year

The district was given the Meritorious Budget Award for its transparency and strong budgetary policies.

STRONGSVILLE, OH — For the third straight year, the Strongsville City Schools are earning praise and awards for their budget. The Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) gave the district the Meritorious Budget Award (MBA).

“We are proud of this Meritorious Budget Award and appreciate the recognition and feedback from the Association of School Business Officials. Our department works extremely hard throughout the year to maintain fiscal responsibility and financial transparency, as it relates to the funding we are provided by the taxpayers of our community," said George Anagnostou, Strongsville Schools treasurer.

A panel of school district professionals reviewed Strongsville's budget documents and provided feedback for continued development and improvement of the submitted documents. The Strongsville budget had to meet certain elements and criteria to earn an MBA.
