
A swimmer from Strongsville is in Omaha this week for U.S. Olympic trials.
Zachary Turk, 22, a St. Edward High School grad, qualified at No. 28 for the 50-meter men's freestyle, and at 73rd for the 100-meter freestyle.
Preliminaries for the 100-meter are set for Thursday; the 50-meter races are scheduled for Saturday.

Turk qualified for the U.S. Olympic team tryouts in April while a senior at Kenyon College.
Turk, who won individual Division III national titles in the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard freestyle this year, qualified for the Olympic Trials in the 50-meter and 100-meter freestyle races with respective times of 22.86 and 50.87, according to Kenyon's website.
