Strongsville Teacher Killed, Police Investigating

The teacher was reportedly stabbed to death.

STRONGSVILLE, OH — Police are investigating the homicide of a sixth grade teacher from the Strongsville School District, cleveland.com reports. Officers were called to the scene Monday night, when a man said someone stabbed his wife in the back several times, killing her.

Police remain at the scene as of Tuesday morning. The couple's son was in the home, Fox 8 reports.

However, the district said in a statement that it will have counselors present to speak with students. The district said they are aware the incident has been unsettling and has been "publicized by the media."

The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is also present at the home and appears to be aiding the investigation, Fox 8 reports.

The woman's husband reportedly said in a 911 call that his home has been the target of thefts throughout the year, Fox 8 said.
