Strongsville to Have 2 Farm Markets

Shop for locally grown produce on Thursdays at Cleveland Clinic, communication center

The city will soon boast two farmers' markets -- both on Thursdays.

One, at the , started two weeks ago as an effort by the Cleveland Clinic to promote eating both healthy and locally produced food.

The market will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Thursday through the end of September.

Starting Aug. 4, the city-sponsored farmers' market will return, running 3-7 p.m. every Thursday through Sept. 29 behind the Communication Center, 13213 Pearl Rd. (the former library), just north of Royalton Rd.

That market, run by Strongsville's Recreation and Senior Department, features locally grown fruits and vegetables, and also flowers and baked goods.
