Strongsville Will Recycle Your Christmas Tree

The city's Service Department will collect Christmas trees for recycling, preventing them from going to the landfill.

Residents should remove all ornaments and lights from the trees and place them at the curb on their regular trash pickup day.

The service will run Dec. 26 through Jan. 31, but will be dependent on the weather, said Jennifer Milbrandt, the city's coordinator of natural resources.

The same crews that pick up trees also plow the roads, and keeping the streets clear of snow will take precedence, Milbrandt said.
