Swim for Free in Cleveland Metroparks

Cleveland Metroparks has three free swimming areas, including two right around the corner:

Hinckley Lake Swimming Area

11 a.m. to 9 p.m., daily * Hinckley Reservation · Hinckley Township

Hinckley Lake Swimming Area features picnic areas, grills, a concession area and a waterfall dam, and more. Hinckley Lake Swimming Area is located off Bellus Road in Hinckley Reservation, between West and East drives, south of Route 303 in Hinckley Township.

Wallace Lake Swimming Area

11 a.m. to 7 p.m., daily * Mill Stream Run Reservation · Berea

Wallace Lake Swimming Area features a relaxing beach, the Quarry Rock Café concession stand, paddleboat and kayak rentals (nominal fee) and a baseball field. Wallace Lake is located off Valley Parkway in Mill Stream Run Reservation, south of Bagley Road in Berea.

Huntington Beach

11 a.m. to 9 p.m., daily * Huntington Reservation · Bay Village

Discover the beauty of Huntington Beach, located on the shores of Lake Erie in Bay Village, while enjoying the surf, sand, sun and ever-changing views of the lake. Huntington Beach is located off Lake Road in Huntington Reservation, between Dover Center and Crocker-Bassett roads in Bay Village.

Lifeguards are on duty at all three beach swimming areas during posted swimming hours and all are free for public access.

Ledge Pool

There is also Ledge Pool & Recreation Area in Hinckley Reservation, which features swimming in an 80- by 100-foot heated, stainless steel pool, fishing, sand volleyball courts, concession stand and picnicking. Admission is $5 for adults (13 and older) and $4 for children 6 to 12. Children 5 and under and seniors 62 and older are free. Season passes are also available for purchase.
