Train Tracks At Foltz Parkway To Close For The Week

The city said crews will be smoothing out the road around the tracks to make for a smoother cross-over.

STRONGSVILLE, OH — The railroad tracks on Foltz Parkway shut down Tuesday and will not reopen until at least Friday, the city said on social media. The tracks are undergoing repairs and the length of the construction will be partly determined by the weather.

Crews are evning out the road around the train tracks to make a smoother crossing, the city said. However, with the remnants of tropical storm Alberto forecast to hit Northeast Ohio on Wednesday night, construction could conceivably be delayed.

Storms and heavy rain could be parked in Northeast Ohio from Wednesday afternoon through Friday, according to the National Weather Service. Flooding will be possible throughout the region.
