Unlicensed Solicitors Going Door-To-Door In Strongsville
Police are asking residents to contact officers if they see solicitors without permits in the city.
STRONGSVILLE, OH — Solicitors have been going door-to-door trying to sell services, without getting proper permits, Strongsville police announced Friday morning. The department asked residents to contact police if they see solicitors in their neighborhoods.
Police said they have received numerous complaints from residents about solicitors offering to paint house numbers on curbs in front of homes. However, the department has issued no permits to solicitors offering those services.
Anyone that intends to go door-to-door selling goods or services in Strongsville must receive a solicitor permit from the police department. That permit must be displayed prominently by the solicitor while working their way through the city.
