Vigil To Honor Strongsville Fatal Car Crash Victims, Families
The vigil will be held in Strongsville Town Square at 7:30 p.m. on Friday night.

STRONGSVILLE, OH — A vigil will be held Friday night in honor of the victims and families of the fatal car crash that claimed the life of a 16-year-old girl on Wednesday night. The event will be held in Strongsville Town Square form 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The crash took the life of Kailee Mayher, 16, a sophomore at Strongsville High School. Five other students were in the car and three were injured in the accident.
The organizers describe Friday's vigil as a "gathering of healing, prayer, and support." Attendees are asked to wear green and white. Donations have been accepted for some candles and ribbon making materials, according to the event Facebook page. Attendees may also bring their own candles.

All donations from tonight's event will go directly to the impacted families.
"Parking will be at the Strongsville Middle School, 13200 Pearl Rd.," the city said on Facebook. "Police will be there to assist with crossing Pearl Road and will traffic control after the vigil. Officers will also be at the Pearl-Royalton intersection to assist pedestrians."

There will also be songs performed during the event. Choir members or folks interested in singing are invited to meet at the square at 7 p.m. to prepare a few of the songs.

"Anyone wanting to help out but not sure how please contact me," a group organizer said on Facebook. "We are looking for individuals to help set up meals and support to the six families directly involved, please contact me if you are interested."
