
Planning is under way for this year's After Prom, and volunteers and donations are needed.
The event, put on by the SHS PTA, is open to all juniors and seniors and their guests. Students do not have to attend prom to be able to attend the After Prom.
This year’s After Prom is set for May 4 at the , with the theme “A Night on the High Seas.”

After Prom is a way for kids to enjoy a safe, drug- and alcohol-free activity. Some highlights of this event include a casino, bingo, DJ/karaoke, basketball, volleyball, inflatable games, great food, entertainment and prizes.
Last year, more than 600 students attended the After Prom.

Parents are needed to help make the night a success. Anyone interested in helping with decorations and other aspects of the event is invited to attend ameeting at 7 p.m. March 15 in the SHS cafeteria.

The After Prom Committee is also asking parents to consider a $15 donation to help make the event possible.
