Walking Tours Offered For Three Condemned Strongsville Schools

The tours will be offered at different dates throughout the month of April to nostalgic alumni.

Strongsville City Schools are offering alumni and community members a walking tour of Drake Elementary, Center Middle and Albion Middle, which are scheduled for demolition soon according to Cleveland.com.

The schools are being cut due to both a decrease in enrollment and the construction of a new middle school the website reported. Strongsville City Schools is also spending money to make renovations to the high school and elementary schools, reported Cleveland.com.

The tours will be self-guided and will run from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Cleveland.com reported that Drake will be on April 5, Albion on April 12, and Center on April 19. Due to positive community feedback, an additional tour was added for April 23 from noon to 3 p.m. for all three schools.
