Watch Your Car Keys at Rec Center

Police are looking into two incidents at the in which someone stole keys from visitors' coat pockets and used them to get into their cars.

In the most recent case, a man told police Nov. 29 he found his keys missing from his jacket pocket, then his wallet missing from his car.

On Nov. 18, a woman reported a similar theft. When she put on her coat, the keys were no longer in the pocket, and her purse had been stolen from her car.

Unlocked lockers are also routinely targeted by thieves at the rec center. The most recent was on Nov. 26, when a man reported his wallet taken.

The thief got lucky in that case -- the wallet contained $150 in cash, a report said.
