Water Line Breaks on Drake -- Again

Less than two weeks after a water line rupture closed Drake Road and flooded a house, a pipe broke again Thursday morning, closing Drake between Pearl and Howe roads.

The road was closed for morning rush hour, but may be open for the evening rush. A Cleveland Water worker on the scene estimated Drake would reopen at 2 or 3 p.m.

On July 20, a water main broke in front of a bi-level home on Drake Road, . The family had to stay in a hotel while their house was dried and cleaned.

In April, a closed Pearl Road for several days.

Service Director Joe Walker could not be reached for comment Thursday morning.
