Witness Honked Off, Calls in State to Protect Geese

The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

Police were called to in the Greens of Strongsville Wednesday over a dispute about geese.

A woman accused a landscaper of trying to kill some geese and destroy their nest and eggs about 10:50 a.m.

The landscaper was apparently planning to move a nest in order to put down mulch.

The woman must have also called for help from the state, because police then received a call from an officer from the Ohio Division of Wildlife, who said the landscaper could mulch around the geese, but must leave the nest alone.

Police gave the landscaper the state officer's phone number so he could speak with him directly.
