🌱 14-Year-Old Missing In South Toledo + 25K Awarded To Toledo Zoo

  • Extreme wheelchair athlete and Guinness World Record holder Aaron "Wheelz" Fotheringham will visit several locations in Toledo Thursday including Whitmer High School and the Imagination Station.
  • 14-year-old Temone Floyd has been missing from the 1100 block of Monterey Court in South Toledo since he left for school Friday.
  • The Toledo Zoo received $25,000 from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources to help restore the lake sturgeon and eastern hellbenders fish species in the Maumee River.

  1. Aaron "Wheelz" Fotheringham will visit several locations in Toledo, including Whitmer High School and Imagination Station. Wheelz holds a Guinness World Record for longest wheel chair ramp jump and has mastered high-flying stunts including a double backflip. (WTVG)
  2. Temone Floyd, 14, has been missing from the 1100 block of Monterey Court in South Toledo since he left for school on Friday. Toledo Police are asking for the community's help in finding Temone by calling Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111. (WTOL)
  3. The Franklin Park Mall will host more than 35 authors Saturday from 11-5 for a meet-and-greet session. Dubbed "The Writer's Block Author Fair," the event will see writers from several different genres give live readings and panel discussions. (WNWO NBC 24)
  4. Hispanic Heritage Month runs from September 15-October 15, and will conclude in Toledo with the Diamante Awards on October 13. This year's celebration will be held in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union's Lenhart Grand Ballroom at BGSU and will honor Louis Guardiola and Joe Balderas for their extensive contributions.   5. Toledo Police report a man is in critical condition after a shooting around 4 PM at the Mobil gas station at Detroit Avenue and Central. TPD report the shooting took place inside the gas station and no suspect has been identified. (WTVG)
