🌱 16-Year-Old Arrested On Murder Warrant + Believe Center Youth Forum

Hello again, Toledo! I'm back with your fresh edition of the Toledo Daily. Keep reading for the most important things going on in town.


First, today's weather:

Afternoon showers. High: 73 Low: 55.


Here are the top five stories in Toledo today:

  1. A 16-year-old Toledo youth has been charged with the murder of Cah'von Graves, 19, on Thursday in the 1100 block of Sisson. The suspect has been booked into the Lucas County Juvenile Justice Center. (WTOL)
  2. Nick Mullins was convicted of felonious assault after stabbing his own father in the face and neck. The crime occurred in the 400 block of Cincinnati Street in May. Sentencing is scheduled for July 7. (WTVG)
  3. The Toledo Police Department arrested Nicholas Stamper, 35, on charges of assault with intent to murder, mayhem and tampering with evidence for a crime that occurred at a Super 8 in Brooklyn, MI in February. Stamper waived his extradition and is currently in the Jackson County Jail. (WTVG)
  4. Ann Arbor artist David Zinn is creating chalk art on the Toledo Lucas County Main Branch Library rooftop green space from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. today. After that, spectators may have a chance to create their own chalk art with Zinn. (La Prensa)
  5. The Believe Center is hosting a youth forum Thursday to address topics of gun violence, mass shootings, and mental health. The program aims to help local youth and their families navigate the challenges of they face today. (WTOL)

  • Check out the latest homes to hit the market in Toledo, Rossford and Maumee in today's Toledo Area Real Estate Roundup. (Toledo Patch)
  • Bedford Public Schools will now have cameras on the buses to deter illegal passes while the stop signals are active. Earlier this month the BPS Board of Education voted unanimously after several buses experienced dangerous drivers. (Monroe Evening News)
  • Toledo Fire & Rescue Dept. class No. 296 completed the legacy run Tuesday beginning at International Park, continuing across the Martin Luther King Bridge and ending at the Toledo Firefighters Memorial at TFRD headquarters. (WTVG)
  • Toledo Public Schools is revising its code of conduct to punish students who record, encourage or simply watch a fight at school. The change comes as several fights have been recorded and posted online. (WTVG)
