- Jashawn Allen, 16, was indicted by a Lucas County Grand Jury for the June 14 shooting death of 17-year-old Antwan Walker.

1. Jashawn Allen was indicted by a Lucas County Grand Jury for the June 14 shooting death of 17-year-old Antwan Walker. Allen is one of two suspects and will be tried as an adult while his 15-year-old co-defendant has at this time not been charged as an adult. (WTOL)
2. Central Catholic has won the state football championship after defeating Hoban 28-21 in the Division II game. The school has won five state titles and Student Activities Coordinator Amy Rough credited the coaching staff and students for the victory. (WTOL)
3. Local landlord married couple Julian and Raliat Thomas have gifted their tenants free rent for the month of December. (WTVG)
4. Glenbrier Road was closed at Eastgate after a house fire in the 1700 block of Vosper Court Friday evening. Toledo Fire & Rescue responded to the scene after a spare propane tank ignited. (WTVG)
5. The Monroe County Sheriff's office will increase speed enforcement through February 28. The measure comes after an "alarming rise of speeding and fatal crashes." (WNWO)

- Former Toledo mayors Mike Bell, Carty Finkbeiner, Donna Owens and Paula Hicks-Hudson are planning to meet with Toledo City Council to promote the city's block watch program. The goal of the meeting is to secure additional funding for neighborhood block watches. (WTOL)
