🌱 3 Convicted In Toledo Drug Crime + Teen Shot, In Critical Condition

Good morning, everybody! It's me, Brad King, your host of the Toledo Daily — back in your inbox with everything that's fit to print about what's happening in our community. Including updates on:

  • A teenager is in critical condition after being shot in the 900 block of Avondale Avenue in Central Toledo Thursday evening.
  • 18,000 Toledoans have been affected by a Water Boil Advisory in effect until 5:00 PM.
  • A federal jury convicted three men of distributing cocaine and fentanyl throughout Toledo.

Here are the top five stories in Toledo today:

  1. A teenaged gunshot victim is in critical condition according to TPD Sgt. Brian Bortel. The shooting occurred in the 900 block of Avondale Avenue in Central Toledo Thursday evening and no suspects have been arrested. (WTOL)
  2. Nearly 18,000 Toledoans are affected by a Water Boil Advisory in effect until today at 5 PM. Residents of the affected areas are recommended to flush their pipes with cold water for three minutes and then boil the water that follows. (WTOL)
  3. Three men were convicted of drug trafficking crimes by a federal jury on Thursday after an investigation by TPD, Lucas Co. Sheriff's Office, the Cleveland FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Those convicted are accused of distributing fentanyl and cocaine throughout Toledo. (WTVG)
  4. The family of shooting victim Keshy'ra Robinson has set up a GoFundMe account to help provide for her one-year-old son who is now without a mother. Robinson was shot in the 400 block of Baden around 3 AM and died at the hospital. (WTVG)
  5. Zepf Center's 'Safey Net' offers refuge to homeless youth in Lucas County. Nearly 200 youth have stayed at Safety Net just this year alone, some walking as far as 40 miles to seek shelter. (WNWO)
