  • Toledo Mayor Kapszukiewicz announced Wednesday the 2023 Toledo Department of Transportation Residential Roads Program will cover over 100 residential streets and more than 40 lane miles.

  1. Eight people have been arrested in connection with the murders of Ke'Marion Wilder and Kyshawn Pittman. The two teenage victims were last seen December 3 before their bodies were recovered from a burned-down home. (WTVG)
  2. Robert Witcher, 46, died at the Lucas County Corrections Center Tuesday after being found unconscious around 7:10 PM. Paramedics pronounced Witcher dead at 8:03 PM and the Ohio State Bureau of Criminal Investigation is involved in the case. (WTOL)
  3. Toledo Mayor Kapszukiewicz announced Wednesday the 2023 Toledo Department of Transportation Residential Roads Program will cover over 100 residential streets and more than 40 lane miles. A total of 194 projects will be completed under the project and funded in part by a .25 income tax from 2020. (WTVG)
  4. Zepf Center Director Steve Kapela is warning that Ohio's new legal sports betting may lead to an increase in problem gambling. Kapela reports that gambling can impact mental health, with problem gamblers having high suicide rates and other mental health concerns. (WNWO)
  5. OhioMeansJobs Lucas County and the Toledo Lucas County Public Library are teaming up to bring employment resources to several area libraries every Monday and Thursday from 1-5 PM. Appointments are not required but can be scheduled by calling 419-213-JOBS (5627). (WTOL)
