Here are the top five stories in Toledo today:
- A Lucas County Grand Jury indicted 31-year-old Deshawn Large on charges of murder and felonious assault. Larde is accused of killing 33-year-old Miles Crawford on November 21, 2021. (WTOL)
- The Toledo Firefighters Union has endorsed John Cranley and Teresa Fedor for Ohio governor and lieutenant governor. The endorsement is shared by firefighter unions in Columbus, Dayton, and Cincinnati. (WNWO NBC 24)
- Research scientists at UToledo's Dr. Nina McClelland Laboratory for Water Chemistry and Environmental Analysis, in collaboration with the University of Texas Arlington, have discovered contamination relating to the fracking process. The metallic and organic contaminants were identified as causing respiratory complications and certain cancers. (Press Release Desk)
- The Ability Center of Greater Toledo is looking for community volunteers for its puppy raising program. The puppies need to receive preliminary obedience training before receiving training for service or therapy dog status. (WNWO NBC 24)
- Bedford High School students have art on display at Franklin Park Mall. The artwork will be displayed through mid March. (Monroe Evening Need)
