3. Toledo Firefighter Arrested on Four Felony Charges, Court Records Allege (wowo.com) — A Toledo firefighter and EMT has been charged with four felonies after police say a person was handcuffed in a west Toledo home, a vehicle and keys were taken, and a burglary occurred. The case is now moving through Toledo Municipal Court, and officials emphasize the allegations remain accusations while the fire department confirms the arrest.

Toledo Opera & Toledo Spirits Team Up for 'Aida' Preview (operawire.com) — Toledo Opera and Toledo Spirits are teaming up for a special "Get Into the Spirit of Opera" preview event on Oct. 1 at Toledo Spirits Company. 5. Ohio lawmakers to consider 90-day gas tax suspension this week (13abc.com) — Ohio lawmakers are weighing a 90-day suspension of the state gas tax that could shave roughly 39 cents off each gallon of regular fuel, potentially saving Toledo drivers several dollars per fill-up. Speaking from Toledo, Sen. Paula Hicks-Hudson questions whether the timing is political, while Republicans argue families need quick relief before the holidays.
