Here are the top stories today in Toledo:
- The City of Toledo is asking for public input on how to spend $180 million in federal funds. The money comes from the American Rescue Plan Act and the city will host 6 meetings in which the public may voice their opinions. (WTOL)
- Toledo Police report that a burglary suspect was shot and killed in an East Toledo home on Thursday. The identity of the suspect is unknown and the shooting is still under investigation. (WTOL)
- A Chevrolet vehicle crashed into an apartment complex in near the 700 block of Bush St. in North Toledo early Friday morning. The driver fled the scene with the vehicle before authorities could arrive. (13abc Action News)
- Mercy Health is partnering with Seaway Marketplace to inform the public about food availability. Part of the project's goal is to address the infant mortality rates in Lucas County. (WNWO NBC 24)
- Mercy College of Ohio has received a $2.1 million grant to create a more diverse nursing workforce. The goal of the grant is to hire nurses that represent the diversity of the communities in which they work. (WTOL)
