🌱 Car Stolen With Child Inside + 2 Women Shot Dead + Fiery Crash

Hey, people of Toledo! It's me again, Brad King, your host of the Toledo Daily.

Here are the top stories in Toledo today:

  1. An off-duty Lucas County Sheriff's Deputy was involved in a two-car collision early Monday morning at the corner of Central and Centennial in Sylvania Township. The off-duty officer was traveling eastbound on Central when they ran a red light and were struck by another vehicle. (WTOL)
  2. Toledo Fire & Rescue responded to an accident on Phillips Avenue Saturday night after a car crashed into a tree across from Mancy's Steakhouse and caught on fire. Crews managed to put out the flames. The incident is under investigation and the vehicle may have been stolen. (WTOL)
  3. Two women were found shot to death early Sunday morning on a street in Central Toledo. The victims were identified as 42-year-old Laura Luckey and 40-year-old Natasha Carlisle. Toledo Police said the women were killed near a memorial site for a man's fatal shooting a half-dozen years ago that features several pictures of him attached to a tree trunk,. (The Detroit News)
  4. 32-year-old Tyshaun Moore has died from his injuries after being shot Friday night on Batavia Street between Warren and Putnam. Moore is reportedly a father of three and no suspects have been identified at this time. (13abc Action News)
  5. A 2-year-old child has been found safe after the car they were in was stolen in the 2500 block of Albion around 4:40 PM on Saturday. Toledo Police, along with the Vice and the Gang Task Force, searched the area and found the vehicle within 15 minutes, where the child was still inside and unharmed. A suspect has not been identified. (13abc Action News)

  • Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz is headed to Ferrara, Italy to finalize a sister city relationship. A group of local businesspeople, including Toledo Sister Cities International officials, left for the trip on November 7 and will return November 13. While there, officials will visit Rome in the hopes of bringing an unnamed international sporting event to Toledo in 2022 after the success of this year's Solheim Cup. (WTOL)
  • Firefighters responded to a home in the 400 block of Elder Drive that caught fire twice on Sunday: once around 5:30 PM and again just before midnight. Officials are calling the fires suspicious and three juveniles were witnessed running away from the home though it is unclear whether they were involved. (13abc Action News)
