- Security camera footage from Glendale Garden Cafe shows an unidentified thief steal a package from a vehicle containing the cremated remains of a 66-year-old Luddington, Michigan man and then board a TARTA bus. The owner of the vehicle, a Waterville man, was keeping the remains as a promise to his dying friend until they could be spread over Lake Michigan. (WTOL)
- Waterville Township Trustee Julie Theroux is facing operating a vehicle while intoxicated charges after she was arrested by Maumee Police. MPD reports the suspect provided a blood alcohol sample of .197 and is due in court Friday. (WTVG)
- The brand new Glass City Metropark "icy loop" is open this weekend for a preview event. There are still reservations available to skate in 90 minute increments, but over 800 people already signed up within the first 15 minutes. (WNWO)
- Ohio Governor Mike DeWine visited Toledo Wednesday one day after his "State of the State address." Governor DeWine recommended "a significant increase in funding for the Ohio Narcotics intelligence Center out of the state's general fund." (WNWO)
- Mayor Phillip Briggs of Spencerville, OH was arrested for "allegedly recording underage girls while they took off their clothes." Facing a second-degree felony pandering charge, Briggs' term was set to expire at the end of this year. (WTVG)
