- On Friday the Drug Enforcement Agency executed a search warrant for a home on Bronx Drive and placed a suspect in custody.
- 43-year-old Lavoris Ruth of Miami Gardens, Florida was arrested after destroying a piece of the I-75 overpass at Lime City Road in Wood County around 1:45 AM Friday.
- 29-year-old Matthew Shiffert was arrested thanks to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office, the SWAT team, and the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force Program on Friday.

- 14-year-old Adriana Kuch tragically made national news after she committed suicide when a video of her being beaten by classmates at Central Regional High School in New Jersey was posted online. Adriana was born in Toledo and Washington Middle School Counselor Molly Toney urges parents to talk to their children daily and be aware of their emotional state. (WTVG)
- On Friday the Drug Enforcement Agency executed a search warrant for a home on Bronx Drive and placed a suspect in custody. DEA officials were seen carrying drugs out of the home but details are scarce as the case awaits prosecution. (WTVG)
- 43-year-old Lavoris Ruth of Miami Gardens, Florida was arrested after destroying a piece of the I-75 overpass at Lime City Road in Wood County around 1:45 AM Friday. Ruth had no permit to transport the load he was hauling and was cited for having no license and leaving the scene of an accident. (WTOL)
- 29-year-old Matthew Shiffert was arrested thanks to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office, the SWAT team, and the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force Program on Friday. Shiffert, a registered sex offender, was transported to Ottawa County Jail and charged with felonies including Failure to Register and four counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor. (WTOL)
- The Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Wood County Sheriff's Office will have an increased presence for Super Bowl weekend. Officers will be looking for impaired driving and anyone consuming alcohol should make plans for getting home in advance. (WNWO)
