Here are the top five stories today in Toledo:
- A Toledo grandmother has died from her injuries sustained in a house fire in East Toledo at the corner of Mott Avenue and Worthington around 3:15 a.m. Wednesday. A mother and child were also injured in the fire and have been hospitalized after Toledo Fire & Rescue responded to the scene. (WTOL)
- A team of doctors and nurses from the University of Toledo is heading to Poland to help train Ukrainian doctors dealing with trauma from the battlefield. The team, including UToledo nurse and director of simulation-based learning Cristina Alvarado and UTMC general surgeon Dr. Stephen Markowiak, will leave July 16 and teach two courses over four days. - Toledo native and NCAA women's basketball star Zia Cooke will host her second annual basketball camp at Lourdes University August 8. Zia led Rogers High School to back-to-back championships in 2018-19 before winning a national championship with the South Carolina Gamecocks in her junior year. (WTOL)
- The Columbus Dispatch has reported that Gershon Fuentes, 27, was arrested for the rape of a 10-year-old child that resulted in her seeking an abortion in Indiana after Ohio implemented its controversial "Heartbeat Law." The arrest comes shortly after Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost publicly questioned the validity of the news story that has received national attention. (WTVG)
- The Wood County Sheriff's Office has implemented an automated check-in service in conjunction with the Wood County Committee on Aging to help the community's elderly population. Those interested in the program can enroll by calling or emailing Director Brianne Cooper. (WNWO)

- Toledo Police are searching for a suspect accused of robbing an elderly woman at the Six-12 Mini Mart on Monday. An image of the suspect was captured by surveillance footage and anyone with knowledge is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111. (WTOL)
- The Toledo Night Market returns Saturday at the Erie Street Market downtown. Featuring food trucks, local artists, live music and craft beer tastings, the market is $5 for adults and children under 10 are free. (WTOL)
- The Lucas County Fair is happening all this week and features a variety of activities including live music, a car show, KOI drag racing and a cornhole tournament. (WNWO)
- Five months have passed since 10-year-old Damia Ezell was killed in a drive-by shooting in Toledo's Old West End neighborhood. Toledo Police continue to investigate and Damia's family say a decrease in youth gun violence would be the best way to honor the child. (WTOL)
- Ohio congressman Tim Ryan toured Toledo Solar to raise exposure for the proposed EAGLE SOLAR Act, which would require Buy American rules to help keep solar panel technology jobs in the U.S. (WNWO)
