- Maumee Police Sergeant Greg Westrick, previously outed for his ties to the Oath Keepers, has retired from the city police force. Chief Josh Sprow made the announcement after Westrick had previously been placed on paid administrative leave. (WTOL)
- Rashad Ali, 32, died following a car chase and crash involving Toledo Police Wednesday morning on Talmadge Road. A domestic violence call came in regarding Ali before he sped away from TPD. (WTVG)
- Apryl Porter was arrested for felonious assault after allegedly shooting a firearm at her boyfriend in the 600 block of Oswald early Sunday morning. The victim underwent emergency surgery though it was reported he did not have life-threatening injuries. (WTVG)
- With the City of Toledo planning to install 'smart' water meters, some skeptics are pointing to the problems Maumee has been having after doing the same. Dozens of residents have complained of overcharges, some in the thousands. (WTOL)
- The Nuestra Gente Community Projects and the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department are reporting on the significant impact COVID had on the Latino community. Language barriers and insurance issues led to far higher cases in the community than in other demographics. (WNWO)
