Here are the top stories today in Toledo:

  1. Toledo Fire & Rescue have reported the death of 49-year-old lieutenant Kevin E. Williamson while he was off-duty. Williamson was assigned to Station 25 on West Central Avenue in the Old Orchard neighborhood. (WTOL)
  2. Scott High School is debuting a new barber academy this year. The program provides 1800 credit hours beginning in one's junior year and is open to any Toledo Public Schools student. (WTOL)
  3. Toledo Police Detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred late Wednesday evening at the 1300 block of Palmetto Avenue. Two men were transported to Toledo Hospital with gunshot wounds resulting in one death and the other in critical condition. (WNWO NBC 24)
  4. A Toledo man has been arrested after he locked himself in the bathroom of a U-Haul on South Byrne Road he was allegedly attempting to rob. Toledo Fire & Rescue transported 42-year-old Brien McGranahan after he caused injury to himself by damaging the bathroom. (13 ABC)
  5. 35-year-old Toledoan Andre Campos was arrested Tuesday night after leading Toledo Police on a high-speed chase. Campos was detained after striking three Toledo Police cruisers in a parking lot in the 1100 block of W. Central Avenue. (13 ABC)
