🌱 Former Toledo Firefighter's Texts Revealed + Oregon School Break-In

Here are the top stories in Toledo today:

  1. Further evidence shows the unnamed former Toledo Firefighter accused of inappropriately texting a teenager knew the victim was just 17-years-old. Text messages show the accused 35-year-old man had a wife and children, exchanged messages while on duty, and offered to pay for explicit photos but has not been charged with a crime. (WTOL)
  2. Toledo Police have released photos of several suspects who broke into a Central Catholic High School concession stand on June 21. The suspects caused extensive damage and anyone with information is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111. (WTVG)
  3. A fatal accident closed down Detroit Avenue between Central and Ambia Tuesday morning around 7 AM. A motorcycle collided with a truck at Detroit and Nesslewood Ave. and a 53-year-old man was killed. (WTOL)
  4. Three suspects broke into The Wynn Center, a behavioral school in Oregon, and caused extensive damage until around 3 AM Friday. Surveillance footage may help the community identify the suspects, who gained access through an unlocked door. (WTVG)
  5. ProMedica announced that patient names, medical records, and personal data belonging to 1,178 patients were sent to the wrong email address in May. The breach comes two years after Toledo Public Schools experienced a cyber attack on school emails and files. (WNWO)

  • Katherinne Fernandez was last seen at the Montpelier Pool on June 30 and could be a victim of human trafficking according to law enforcement. (WTOL)
