Good morning, everybody! It's me, Brad King, your host of the Toledo Daily. Here are all the things you need to know about what's happening locally. Today we'll cover:

  • Two suspects arrested for bringing loaded AR-15 rifle to Bowsher High School.
  • Man sentenced to four years in Alexis Road vehicular homicide.

Here are the top five stories in Toledo today:

  1. The city of Toledo is hosting a public hearing Thursday to get community feedback on future city planning. Topics will include 'Neighborhood Revitalization Strategy Areas' in the Old South End and Englewood neighborhoods. (WTVG)
  2. Austin Sparks, 22, was sentenced to four years in prison on vehicular homicide charges for the March 10 death of 62-year-old Terrance Robb. Sparks was reportedly traveling 126 miles per hour on Alexis Road before striking the victim's vehicle. (WTOL)
  3. Demond Allen, 21, was arrested for the July 31 murder of Catherine Craig. Toledo Police had previously issued murder warrants for Steven Weaver, 22, who remains at large. (WTVG)
  4. Vanard Shelton, 18, and Edward Spikener, 19, were arrested after reportedly bringing a loaded AR-15 rifle to Bowsher High School after first leading Toledo Police on a chase Saturday. The suspects are accused of allowing a Bowsher student to pose with the weapon during the school's homecoming dance. (WNWO)
  5. Toledo Fire & Rescue Assistant Chief John Kaminski has been deployed to help rescue efforts for Hurricane Ian. Asst. Chief Kaminski was deployed with 47 members of the Ohio Task Force 1 on Saturday. (WTOL)
