Here are the top five stories today in Toledo:
- UPDATE: Brianna McGovern and Britany Keel, both 24, were arrested during the barricade situation on Riverside Court involving Toledo Police and SWAT on Thursday. The incident occurred after two vehicles exchanged gunfire near Summit Street and Hecla Court and two juvenile males were recovered from the home. (WNWO)
- Two murder warrants have been issued relating to the July 31 murder of 28-year-old Catherine Craig. An initial murder warrant was issued for Daevon Higgs, 22, before he was found murdered in Ravine Park Village on August 5. On August 31, two new warrants were issued for Steven Weaver, 22, and Demond Allen, 21. (WTVG)
- The Wheeler Farms corn maze in Whitehouse has announced its 2022 theme as Toledo itself, highlighting the Toledo Museum of Art, the Toledo Mud Hens and an impressive depiction of the downtown skyline. The maze will be open September 17 and will feature differing difficulty levels for all ages. (WNWO)
- Toledo's annual Labor Day parade will celebrate several area unions in attendance, including UAW, United Steelworkers, Toledo Federation of Teachers, Toledo Firefighters Local 92, Service Employees International Union and much more. U.S. Rep. Marcy Kaptur will be the grand marshal for the parade, which begins at 9 a.m. on Summit Street and Monroe. (WTOL)
- Tyler Russel, 30, is facing charges of assault, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest after punching a guest at his own wedding at Kalahari Convention Center in Sandusky on Saturday. The victim reported being assaulted by approximately five people and Russell was found instigating another fight when he was approached by Huron Police and Kalahari security. (WTVG)

- Toledo Fire and Rescue responded to a house fire in the 2500 block of N. Erie Street around noon Friday. The vacant house is listed as a "code red building" which means no one is permitted inside and the structure previously caught fire in March 2021. (WTVG)
- Genoa High School students are donating canned goods to the SeaGate Food Bank of Northwest Ohio for this year's Charlie's Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram "Pack a Pickup" event. Nine local schools will compete for a chance to win $500 towards athletics. (WTOL)
