Here are the top stories in Toledo today:

  1. A home in the 1900 block of Talbot caught fire Monday morning. Toledo Fire and Rescue reports no one was home at the time of the fire and the cause is under investigation. (WTOL)
  2. As Lucas County moves into "substantial" virus transmission status, the City of Toledo is now requiring all employees to wear face coverings regardless of vaccination status. The University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University have put forth similar mandates. (WTOL)
  3. Toledo Police have arrested 21-year-old Kedontae Colter for a shooting that occurred at the Linda Arms Apartments on South Byrne Road. The victim, Daryl Foster, was transported to St. Vincent's Hospital where he later died. (WNWO NBC 24)
  4. A West Toledo man was arrested Sunday morning for stabbing a victim several times in the chest. The violence occurred in the 1600 block of Norwood Avenue and 35-year-old Shane Donavon Warner was arrested for felonious assault.(WTOL)
  5. The Toledo Fire Department reports that a Central Toledo house on the 700 block of Vance Street has caught fire for the second time in the same weekend. The house is vacant and crews were able to stop the flames from affecting neighboring homes. (WTOL)
