Here are the top stories today in Toledo:
- The Judges at the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas have voted to extend the court's mask mandate until September 3, 2021. Visitors are encouraged to practice social distancing and to stay home if they feel sick. (WTOL)
- Local group 'Our Community' is providing protection and oversight at City of Toledo pools. The group, made up of bikers, car fanatics, and fraternities, was inspired to provide a safe environment after someone brought a firearm to Roosevelt pool. According to Mayor Kapszukiewicz, there hasn't been a single incident requiring Toledo Police intervention since the group's involvement. (WTOL)
- Toledo Police responded to a large fight in North Toledo early Friday morning near Mulberry and Sherman. Neighbors report the fight involved mostly teen girls, though shots were fired as police arrived on scene. The investigation is ongoing. (WTOL)
- Toledo resident James Roberts has been found guilty of robbing multiple dollar stores in May of 2021. Roberts' sentencing will be on August 12, 2021. (13abc Action News)
- A Toledo man has been hospitalized after a hit-and-run accident that occurred at the intersection of Kirby and Manhattan, west of Stickney Ave. The victim's status is unknown but he was transferred to Mercy St. Vincent's hospital. The driver fled the scene. (13 ABC)
