Here are the top five stories today in Toledo:
- Kenneth Pryor, 30, is in custody after a North Toledo standoff with Toledo Police and SWAT occurred Thursday night on N. Ontario Street. Law enforcement was alerted to the scene after Richard Richardson, 36, had been transported to St. Vincent Medical Center after being shot. (WNWO NBC 24)
- William R. Gergich, 31, has died after his car was hit by a vehicle driven by Joshua Whitaker, 31, on Alexis Road near Douglas around 6 p.m. Thursday. Whitaker lost control of his vehicle and Toledo Fire & Rescue had to extricate three individuals from the scene. (With)
- Toledo Police are searching for a suspect who broke into the Cherry Street Mission on April 24 and stole a television. (WTOL)
- A plan to convert the old Mott Branch Library building into a health center run by Compassion Health has come under controversy. Several Toledo City Council Members are accusing Sandy Spang, Toledo's Commissioner of Business Services, of not disclosing she sat on the board of Compassion Health when advocating for the sale of the building. - Daylen Dunson, 22, of Cleveland Heights has become the sixth suspect to enter a guilty plea for the hazing death of Bowling Green State University student Stone Foltz. Dunson is accused of providing false information to investigators following Foltz's hospitalization and instructing other members of Pi Kappa Alpha to delete evidence of the incident. (WNWO NBC 24)

- Ohio House Bill 631 would require health departments to "promote and increase the distribution of" COVID-19 treatments that have not been FDA-approved such as ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine. ProMedica's Vice President of Health and Safety Dr. Brian Kaminski has expressed reservations over politicians promoting ineffective treatments. (WTOL)
- Opera Outdoors returns to the Toledo Botanical Gardens with weekly performances scheduled for the rest of the month. (BG Independent Media)
- The City of Toledo's Department of Economic Development is implementing a new program aimed at streamlining local development projects. The "Pre-Development Meetings" will provide education on state and municipal codes, timelines, and the inspection process. (WTVG)
- The Perrysburg Farmers Market returns for another season this week. (WNWO NBC 24)
- Cinco de Mayo was celebrated this week by the El Corazon de Mexico Ballet Folklorico Dance Group. The holiday marks Mexico's victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. (WNWO NBC 24)
