Here are the top five stories in Toledo today:
- Toledo Police Officer D. Lett was injured during an attack by Steven Marcele, 45, while officers were attempting to book Marcele into the Lucas County Jail. Marcele was arrested at the Lighthouse Motel on N. Reynolds where he was found holding two knives and banging on an empty hotel room door, claiming his girlfriend was inside. (WTOL)
- Chelsie Livingston, 31, and a 17-year-old girl were reportedly robbed at gunpoint while riding scooters in East Toledo Monday night. The crime took place in the 600 block of Federal Street and the juvenile was injured during the incident. No arrests have been made. (WTOL)
- The Toledo Police have released footage of a vehicle that may have been connected to the unsolved murder of Tyshaun Moore, 39, on Batavia Street on November 5, 2021. A Ford Explorer was caught on camera around the time the crime occurred. (WTVG)
- Bowling Green man Kyle Kirby has been found not guilty by reason of insanity for stabbing Nicholas S. Winterfield of Perrysburg in a Napoleon Walmart in March 2021. Kirby was arrested by Toledo Police at Collingwood and Cherry Street during a felony traffic stop. (WTVG)
- The Toledo Choral Society is celebrating its 100 year anniversary on Sunday, June 26 at the Toledo Museum of Art's Peristyle Theater. The occasion also commemorates 10 years with Artistic Director Richard Napierala. (Toledo City Paper)

- The Toledo Symphony is awarding Starr Elementary music teacher Megan Porter with this year's Outstanding Music Educator Award. (WTVG)
- Toledo Police have identified Christopher Thomas, 31, as a victim of a shooting that occurred in the 1500 block of Vance Street Tuesday night around 9:45 p.m. Officers responded to a ShotSpotter call and transported Thomas to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. (WTOL)
- Perrysburg Heights residents and their supporters marched to the City Council meeting in Downtown Perrysburg Tuesday to protest reports that the neighborhood may be bulldozed. (WTVG)
- A loud boom was heard throughout Toledo around 9:20 p.m. on Memorial Day. The Federal Aviation Administration stated such a sound could have come from a military aircraft or the meteor shower that occurred that evening. (WTVG)
