Oshae Jones Wins Bronze + Deadly State Route 2 Crash + Stabbing

Here are the top stories in Toledo today:

  1. A Toledo man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing another man in the neck. The incident occurred at the 1300 block of Fitchland Avenue early Wednesday morning. The suspect, Isaiah Fuller, was booked into the Lucas County Corrections Center and faces arraignment at the Toledo Municipal Court. (WNWO NBC 24)
  2. Toledo native Oshae Jones has won a bronze medal for boxing in the 2021 Olympic games. She faced competitors from China, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic in her Olympic journey. (13abc Action News)
  3. A woman has been charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated after she flipped her car in South Toledo on Fearing Road just south of Hill Avenue. The crash occurred after the woman hit a wall under a bridge and Toledo Police report she did not appear to be injured. (WTOL)
  4. One person is dead after a crash between a pickup truck and a semi on State Route 2 and Veler Road at the Ottawa-Lucas County line. Ohio State Highway Patrol reports the pickup truck went left of center, causing the deadly crash. (WTOL)
  5. Toledo's auto union United Auto Workers Local 12 will be requiring masks in all auto plants beginning this week. UAW Local 12 union hall had previously been a site for vaccinations, and workers are encouraged to get vaccinated to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 Delta variant. (WTOL)
