  1. Toledo doctor Marilyn Agee has been named as the champion of this year's Susan G. Komen Toledo Race for the Cure. Dr. Agee was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012 after helping dozens of patients with their own diagnoses. (WTOL)
  2. Ohio Rep. Marcy Kaptur has called for an investigation into an alleged hazardous Toledo apartment complex. The Greenbelt Place Apartments are reportedly filled with mold, bedbugs, and trash and an investigation by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has been requested. (13abc Action News)
  3. The University of Toledo has seen an 18% increase in research funding in just one year. The nationally recognized institution also focuses on regional issues such as the water quality of Lake Erie. (WNWO NBC 24)
  4. Former Ottawa Hills Schools employee Ronald Stevens has been found guilty on 9 counts of rape, 6 counts of sexual battery, 11 counts of gross sexual imposition, and 5 counts of pandering obscenity. The verdict comes after a several day trial in the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas. (13abc Action News)
  5. 20 year-old Toledoan Dorian Kneely has died as a result of several gunshot wounds stemming from an incident that occurred in the 2100 block of Elliott Avenue on Wednesday. Toledo Police were initially alerted to the Central Toledo shooting through Shot Spotter and it is unclear whether any suspects have been identified. (WTOL)
