🌱 Perrysburg Gastropub Burns Down + Hazing Victim's Family Sues BGSU

Here are the top five stories in Toledo today:
- Social Gastropub in Perrysburg has been declared a total loss after going up in flames Thursday afternoon around 2 p.m. The Perrysburg Fire Chief reported the fire began outside and employees were unable to put it out. (WTOL)
- The family of BGSU hazing victim Stone Foltz is suing the university for allegedly having knowledge of the hazing event as far back as 2019 and still letting it continue in 2021. Foltz died in March 2021 at a 'big-little' event for the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity after consuming a bottle of alcohol in 23 minutes. (WTVG)
- A driver in Point Place lost control of their vehicle on Shoreland Avenue and drove into the Ottawa River. The driver was the sole occupant in the car and was out of the water by the time rescue crews arrived. (WTOL)
- Bowling Green State University is expanding its aviation program in part to address America's pilot shortage. The flight center will see double its operations thanks to a $5 million investment that will go toward new facilities and advances in technology. (WTVG)
- Several Ohio officers, troopers and deputies participated in the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Ohio this week. Carrying the "Flame of Hope," nearly 100 officers ran on Friday evening to the Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium at The Ohio State University. (WNWO NBC 24)

- Toledo is looking to expand its violence interrupter program from 3 to 12, with the job paying between $45,000 - $60,000. (WTOL)
- The University of Toledo celebrated the 50th anniversary of Title IX, which prohibits sex or gender discrimination in federally-funded schools and universities. (WNWO NBC 24)
- Tommie's Sports Bar and Grille on Monroe Street was shot into by an unknown gunman Friday night. No injuries were reported. The bar is co-owned by controversial former champion lightweight boxer Robert Easter Jr. (WTOL)
- Toledo Police are investigating a shooting in the 1400 block of Fernwood Avenue around 8:40 p.m. Thursday. No injuries were reported though a vehicle was struck. (WTVG)
- Mercy Health St. Charles Hospital is offering extensive services at a new clinic located at 1050 Isaac Streets Drive, Suite 126 in Oregon. (WNWO NBC 24)
