Here are the top stories in Toledo today:

  1. Toledo Police have arrested a man after he led them on a car chase that ended at the old Devilbiss High School, site of the Toledo Technology Academy and McKinley STEMM Academy. Police were initially called when the man attempted to break into a home. Classes were not interrupted. (WNWO NBC 24)
  2. Two cars were involved in a crash in North Toledo Thursday night. Toledo Police are investigating after one car crashed into a home on Mulberry Street near E. Hudson Street. (13abc Action News)
  3. A local dog rescue group is caring for a record number of puppies. The Lucas County Pit Crew is housing over 60 puppies in foster homes and stressed the importance of getting pets spayed or neutered. (13abc Action News)
  4. Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz has received a COVID-19 booster shot and reports it was totally painless. Lucas County has a vaccination rate of about 54%, with that number expected to climb. (WNWO NBC 24)
  5. Ohio House Republicans have proposed a new congressional map that splits Toledo in half. The proposed plan would put Toledo Democrat Marcy Kaptur in more rural, Republican-friendly territory. (Norwalk Reflector)
