Here are the top stories in Toledo today:

  1. All Lucas County hospitals are now operating on an "EMS bypass," meaning hospitals will not accept EMS transports. Toledo Fire & Rescue issued a press release stating the decision came to be made because of staffing challenges at hospitals and an increase number of people seeking non-emergency medical evaluations. (13abc Action News)
  2. The Lucas County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Marshalls are searching for a rape suspect who was indicted by a Lucas County Grand Jury in August. The suspect, 26-year-old Jordan Winfree, is believed to still be in the Toledo area. (WTOL)
  3. A backlog in delivery shipments at the FedEx Ground facility in Perrysburg has caused complications for medical shipments. Drugs such as insulin that must be kept cool have been ruined, costing thousands and putting people in danger. (13abc Action News)
  4. Toledo City Councilman John Hobbs III has resigned from his job with the State of Ohio as a barber and cosmetology inspector. Hobbs states his resignation is not related to a recent Ohio Inspector General investigation into alleged misconduct. (WTOL)
  5. 24-year-old Damon Joseph of Holland has been sentenced in connection with a plot to attack a Toledo-area synagogue. Joseph pleaded guilty to attempting to provide support for the Islamic State terrorist group. (Fox 28)
