🌱 South Toledo Dollar General Robbed + Train Dogs With Ability Center

Hello again, everybody! I'm here with your Tuesday edition of the Toledo Daily, full of everything you need to know about what's happening in town. Today's issue includes:

  • The South Toledo Dollar General on South Avenue was robbed a gunpoint around noon on Saturday.
  • The Ability Center is in need of volunteers to foster or train their new therapy dogs, like 2-year-old Stella who helps 10-year-old Noah with anxiety and sleep issues.
  • Harley Conley, 20, has died following a car crash around 11 PM Friday at the Miami Street I-75 North on-ramp in East Toledo.

  2. The Ability Center is in need of volunteers to foster or train their new therapy dogs, like 2-year-old Stella who helps 10-year-old Noah with anxiety and sleep issues. This time of year is especially important as the dogs would get a home for Christmas. (WTOL)
  3. Harley Conley, 20, has died following a car crash around 11 PM Friday at the Miami Street I-75 North on-ramp in East Toledo. Officials report alcohol may be a factor in the crash which occurred after a 56-year-old man turned in the path of the oncoming vehicle. (WTVG)
  4. A combination of COVID, flu and RSV is causing hospitalization rates to rise to pandemic levels. The Ohio Department of Health reported hospitals in the state only had 16.6% total open beds as of December 8. (WTVG)
  5. The new polar bear cubs at the Toledo Zoo can be visited virtually on a daily YouTube live stream 9 AM - 4 PM. Born December 1, the cubs have not yet been named. (cleveland.com)

  • Lucas County Children Services is spreading awareness for the need for foster homes as there are 500 children in care. Currently, 200 foster homes serve the community but a stipend is available for the 4-month training. (WTOL)
