Here are the top six stories today in Toledo:
- A car chase involving Toledo Police ended in a crash near Jackman and Marne Avenue. The chase started near Central and Glenwood and the suspect was taken into custody after suffering only minor injuries. (WTVG)
- The Spitzer and Nicholas buildings in downtown Toledo will be converted into residential units and commercial businesses in a $179 million redevelopment project. The move was approved by the Lucas County Land Bank to allow The Model Group and ARK Development to take on the project. (WNWO)
- The Wood County Sheriffs Deputies and Ohio Highway Patrol used drones, police dogs and a plane to apprehend a suspect who had climbed "high up in a pine tree" Wednesday morning. The suspect is accused of breaking and entering the Super 8 Motel before fleeing police with a second suspect and crashing his pickup truck. (WTVG)
- Toledo's very own Jared Anderson, a boxer with a 13-0 knockout record, hopes to return to the Glass City for an upcoming future fight. "The Big Baby" will be featured on the under card of a April 8 bout in New Jersey but hopes to host an event in downtown Toledo this summer. (WTOL)
- John Hobbs III and Vanice Williams were formally appointed to the Toledo City Council in the same seats they filled for Tyrone Riley and Yvonne Harper, who were convicted of federal bribery and extortion charges last month. The council seats wer briefly expired due to the convictions for the former council members. (WTVG)
- Toledo business Selfie WRLD offers an experience where patrons receive a ring light and then have the freedom to shoot selfies among 24 different booths. Open Wednesday through Sunday, Selfie WRLD aims to help spread joy and celebrate people of all walks of life. (WNWO)

- The family of 15-year-old homicide victim DeAsia Green held a candle light vigil at the scene of the shooting in an alley on Page Street. (WTVG)
- The Ohio Attorney General's office has announced a $400,000 grant to help improve the statewide sex offender registry by providing computer systems and cameras for all 88 Ohio County sheriff's offices. (WNWO)
- Fremont Police Chief Derek Wensinger has been on leave since November 30. He is scheduled to "face city leadership next week for any potential punishment." An independent agency has completed an investigation and "Wensinger is accused of insubordination, dishonesty and failure of good behavior." (WTVG)
- Bethel Bekele has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to six charges related to the killing of Keris L. Riebel at a Dollar Tree in Upper Sandusky on January 1. (WTOL)
- Toledo Helps Ukraine and ProMedica are accepting donations to help the ongoing efforts to resist Russia's war overseas. Drop-off sites can be found at the ProMedica downtown headquarters, Fusion Bistro and Barr's Public House. (WNWO)
