Here are the top five stories in Toledo today:
- West Toledo man Jeremy Huebner has been sentenced to two consecutive terms of 25 years to life in prison on two counts of rape against child victims aged 5 and 8. The crime occurred in 2018. (WTOL)
- 32-year-old Kyle Scheid is facing charges of inducing panic after he made a bomb threat to the Lucas County dispatch center. Scheid was found intoxicated in a hospital room at St. Vincent Medical Center and has been placed on electronic monitoring after being arraigned in the Toledo Municipal Court. (WNWO NBC 24)
- Two adults and a dog escaped a house fire on Mettler Street just after midnight Thursday. A neighbor alerted the homeowner to the fire, and a recently installed wood burning stove may have caused the blaze. (WTOL)
- 29-year-old Alexandra "Ali" Goins was shot to death on Easter Sunday in the Village of South Solon, which is between Dayton and Columbus. The suspect, 34-year-old Zachary Warnock, has been arrested and is reported to have been in a relationship with Goins. (WTVG)
- Lucas County Sheriff's Deputy Craig Barth was injured in a car accident at the intersection of Airport Highway and Garden Road in Monclova Township around 6 AM Thursday. A silver Tesla was involved in the crash but was not on autopilot at the time. (WTVG)

- The Riverdance 25th Anniversary show is coming to the Stranahan Theater May 31 & June 1. (La Prensa)
- Toledo Police arrested 43-year-old Nicholas Loving after he reportedly shot his neighbor 38-year-old Thomas Sterger Wednesday night. The shooting occurred in the 400 block of Platt Street and Sterger was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. (WTVG)
- The Lucas County Jail is hiring nurses as a nationwide shortage in the profession continues. (WTVG)
- Phase II of the Glass City Metropark along the Maumee River is currently under construction. The plans will connect 300 acres of open space with 5 miles of trails and link 6 individual neighborhoods. (WTVG)
- The 49th Annual Old West End Festival will be held June 4 & 5 and will include the traditional OWE 5K Walk/Run, an art fair at the Toledo Museum of Art Glass Pavilion, the historic home tour, and the King Wamba Carnival Parade. (WTOL)
