Here are the top stories today in Toledo:
- Toledo Public Schools confirmed a student at Rogers High School was arrested for having a loaded gun that was discovered through a dress code violation investigation. This is the second TPS student arrested for carrying a gun in a week. (WTOL)
- 38-year-old Toledoan Phillip Henry was arrested Wednesday for a shooting death that occurred in February 2021. On February 26, 61-year-old Tyrone Gregory was found suffering from a gunshot wound at the 3300 block of Stickney Avenue and later died at St. Vincent's Hospital. (WTOL)
- The Dattilo Family Youth Leadership Center is now open thanks to investments from First Tee Lake Erie, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Toledo, and ProMedica. The center will feature art rooms, a gymnasium, and the Spartan Chemical Golf Complex. (WNWO NBC 24)
- Toledo has placed 5th overall in a new study hosted by "Runners Need" ranking the best cities in the country for runners. Considering runner safety, Toledo placed top 3 in part due to its green space, traffic, crime rate, pollution, and running events. (13abc Action News)
- Toledo alterations staple Sew-N-Such on Sylvania Avenue has been tasked with making alterations for the Junior Solheim Cup uniforms. Owner Mary Cianci reports that orders like this have helped the business thrive for 37 years. (13abc Action News)
