Here are the top stories in Toledo today:

  1. Mayor Kapszukiewicz, State Rep Paula Hicks-Hudson, and Lucas County Treasurer Lindsay Webb were among local democrats celebrating President Biden's infrastructure tour of Ohio on Monday in Toledo. Part of the plans include child tax credits and statewide high-speed internet. (Norwalk Reflector)
  2. The Cherry Street Mission and Unison Health are opening a new on-site behavioral health and substance abuse clinic on Monroe Street. The goal of the new clinic is to remove barriers keeping marginalized populations from receiving treatment. (13abc Action News)
  3. The Toledo City Council has approved more money for the Summit Street legal fight. Local law firm Spengler-Nathanson will be issued an additional $75,000 in the city's efforts to recoup funds from Block Communications over utility lines moved during the project. The project continues to be under federal investigation. (13abc Action News)
  4. The Toledo Police and a SWAT team were called out to the shopping plaza at Monroe Street and Secor in West Toledo. The front door to local business Hot Kikx had been broken off and the investigation is ongoing. (WTOL)
  5. Toledo Mayor Kapzukiewicz has announced the closure of an after-hours club on Telegraph Road where a deadly shooting took place over the weekend. The latest closure is one of seven planned throughout the city to address the often unsafe elements such "clubs" present. (WTOL)
