🌱 Toledo City Council Bribery Trial Delayed + East Side Armed Robbery

  • The Federal trial for former Toledo City Councilman Gary Johnson will be postponed after one of his attorneys, David Klucas, was removed as he may need to serve as a witness.
  • A woman reported she was robbed at gunpoint while withdrawing funds from an ATM at Citizens Bank on Main Street in East Toledo around 1 AM Tuesday.
  • The Wood County Museum will close temporarily after eight radiators burst on December 27.

  1. The Wood County Museum will close temporarily after eight radiators burst on December 27. The Wood County Historical Society is taking up donations to help the museum stay afloat during the repairs. (WTVG)
  2. The Citizens for Peaceful Toledo Neighborhoods is hosting an event in remembrance of victims of violence in 2022 at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral at 1:00 PM Wednesday. The organization aims to "address violent crime through community engagement, building partnershipsnand calling for community policing and a block watch program. (WTVG)
  3. The Blue Man Group is returning to the Stranahan Theatre January 11-12 as part of the Broadway in Toledo Series. Tickets are available online, by phone and at the box office. (Press Publications)
  4. The federal trial for former Toledo City Councilman Gary Johnson will be postponed after one of his attorneys, David Klucas, was removed as he may need to serve as a witness. Judge Helmick made the order on Tuesday, a move supported by federal proescutor Michael Freeman. (WTOL)
  5. A woman reported she was robbed at gunpoint while withdrawing funds from an ATM at Citizens Bank on Main Street in East Toledo around 1 AM Tuesday. Toledo Police are investigating and the woman was not injured. (WTOL)

  • The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported 11 fatalities over the New Year's Eve holiday weekend from December 30-January 2. (WTOL)
