Juvenile Arrested for 'Ghost Gun' + South Toledo Bomb Scare

Here are the top stories today in Toledo:

  1. A 16-year-old has been arrested after it was discovered the teen had a "ghost gun," a firearm made up of untraceable parts, in their backpack at Bowsher High School in Toledo. The youth was caught smoking marijuana in the bathroom and admitted to having the weapon. (WTOL)
  2. The Northwest Ohio Bomb Squad was called to Maumee Avenue and Knower Street in South Toledo Monday evening around 5:26 PM. A nonoperational device involving a fire extinguisher and two chemical agents was discovered and the incident is under investigation. (13abc Action News)
  3. The Toledo Police Department is investigating a shooting that allegedly occurred on I-75 near Oakwood Avenue in Central Toledo late Tuesday. The victim walked into a hospital with a gunshot wound and reported the shooting to authorities. (WTOL)
  4. A Tiffin woman was flown by Life Flight to Mercy Health-St. Vincent's Hospital in Toledo after a single-car accident that occurred on State Route 101 early Tuesday morning. The accident occurred after Caroline T. Plank traveled off the left side of the road and struck a culvert, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. (Tiffin Advertiser Tribune)
  5. The Cherry Street Mission Ministries in Downtown Toledo has received new equipment for its auto technology program thanks to donations from Hunter Equipment and Yark Automotive Group. The program is designed to help businesses find trade workers from the local Toledo area. (13abc Action News)
