Here are the top five stories in Toledo today:
- Toledo Police assisted the Toledo Fire & Rescue in responding to an injured man found in a large pool of blood in a residence on Lewis Avenue in North Toledo around 12:45 p.m. Saturday. TPD Officers had to force entry to tend to the injured man and the extent and cause of his injuries is unknown. (WTOL)
- Defiance County Sheriffs arrested a 28-year-old Toledo man after he led them on a car chase down U.S. 24 on Sunday night. Deputies instigated a traffic stop for a broken headlight when the suspect refused to comply before eventually leaving the roadway in Henry County and striking another vehicle. (Defiance Crescent News)
- Carter Tebay, 9, of Lucas County has been placed on dialysis in a Columbus hospital after being exposed to E. coli. The CDC and local health officials have narrowed the source of E. coli to Wendy's restaurants in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan. (WTVG)
- In response to the Columbus teachers' strike, Toledo Federation of Teachers President Kevin Dalton has said such a strike in Toledo is unlikely but does not indicate job satisfaction among employees. Toledo Public Schools Senior Director of Talent Acquisition Lori Reffert says harassment by the public is largely to blame for the teacher shortage. (WTOL)
- Local family the Feldsteins have donated hundreds of umbrellas to the Cherry St. Mission in an effort to help those in need. Mark Feldstein and Associates is a local company that develops products sold all over North America, including an 'inverted umbrella' that collects water in its base. (WTVG)

- Toledo Public Schools transportation officials stress the importance of safety for the school year as new bus routes are set to begin. (WTOL)
- Over 75 people have applied for the next class of Engage Toledo Ambassadors, though only 24 of them will be selected through a random lottery pool. The Ambassadors will commit to 12 sessions of weekly meetings to learn about city facilities in all six Toledo City Council Districts. (WTOL)
- Owens Community College President Dione Somerville, Ed. D., has stated the Perrysburg campus has seen a 5.6% increase in enrollment. (The Courier)
- Montrie Auctions finds treasure out of "various antique items ranging from jewelry to seasonal stuff." (WNWO NBC 24)
