Here are the top stories in Toledo today:

  1. A 28-year-old Toledo man was arrested by the Monroe County Sheriff's Office after a shooting on Monday in Bedford Township. The suspect initially fled to the woods but was apprehended after deputies used a drone to find him. (13abc Action News)
  2. Officer Glenden Teems, a ten-year veteran of the Toledo Police Department, reflects on his run-in with a suspect that wanted to be shot in early November. 39-year-old Leland Pickens was unarmed but attempted to draw Officer Teems' fire by pretending to have a gun. (13abc Action News)
  3. The Toledo-Lucas County Health Department has run out of at-home COVID-19 tests from both distribution sites at the Lucas County Rec Center and UAW Local 12 Hall. About 12,500 tests were given away and the department hopes to receive more within the month. (WNWO NBC 24)
  4. While many Toledoans may be spending Black Friday at big-box stores, consider visiting local business Allied Record Exchange. Located on Reynolds Road, Allied is open 10-8 and offering 25% off vinyl and other media. (WNWO NBC 24)
  5. Northwest Ohio non-profit organizations such as the United Way of Greater Toledo are experiencing an increase in people asking for first-time assistance. Housing and shelter is a number one concern, with the Cherry Street Mission seeing a 900% increase in homelessness in the last five months. (WTOL)
