Good day, neighbors! It's me again, Brad King, your host of the Toledo Daily.

First, today's weather:

A shower and t-storm; breezy. High: 72 Low: 49.

Here are the top five stories in Toledo today:

  1. The Toledo City Council will vote whether to approve a $278,000 settlement to Kelly Molter, who was injured in a crash with a Toledo Police cruiser driven by Officer Nicole Tucker in January 2019. Molter's lawsuit has been pending since 2019 and is expected to be dropped if the settlement is approved. (WTOL)
  2. The Toledo Police have discovered the body of 38-year-old Deidra Lizcano of Perrysburg inside a car in the 1400 block of Walbridge Avenue near Spencer on Monday night. Lizcano had been missing for several days and her cause of death has not been determined. (WTVG)
  3. 42-year-old Joseph Moore reportedly bit a Toledo Police Officer during an arrest on Friday around 9 PM. The incident occurred during an emergency response in the 300 block of Parker Avenue. Officer Tyler Gawrych was treated at a hospital and is back on full duty. (WTOL)
  4. 61-year-old Daniel Torres, who was shot to death Sunday, may not have been the intended target according to his family. Torres' death may be related to a Sept. 2021 homicide in which his nephew's son, Nicholas Deluca, was murdered outside of Western Mart in South Toledo. (WTVG)
  5. Two Toledo groups are spreading the message honoring April as Autism Acceptance Month. The Autism Society of Northwest Ohio and Harbor stress the need to move beyond awareness and into acceptance. (WNWO NBC 24)
